What are the best tech startups in Canada?
The ones that most tech people in the US I think would know about are: RIM (originally) Hootsuite Freshbooks Shopify Kik Pair (YC)
Then I found ClearFit and TribeHR and Ven.io. And more and more. I found two big lists of top startups.
First, the list by C100, most of which were showcased in their Silicon Valley Tour. Second, a Top 100 Canadian Startups list compiled by Techvibes.
Update: Startupnorth also has a list of respected Canadian startups.
Some are also based in the US now: AeroFS - Secure Cloud Storage without the servers. Hopper - Travel startup. Kontagent - Analytics startup.
